One person killed in booby-trapped car blast in Baghdad

BAGHDAD, May 30 (KUNA) -- One person was killed when a booby-trapped car exploded in the center of the Iraqi capital, a police source said Tuesday.
The source told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the car exploded near the General Retirement Department, close to Al-Shuhada Bridge in downtown Baghdad, killing one person and wounding seven others in a preliminary toll.
Last night, a similar blast occurred in Karrada district, Baghdad, killing eight people. The organization of the so-called Islamic State (IS) claimed responsibility to the terrorist bombing in Karrada. (end) aha.tg
