CAIRO, May 26 (KUNA) -- Some 24 people were killed and 27 wounded when gunmen attacked a bus carrying Coptic Christians in Minya governorate, southern Egypt, the Ministry of Health said on Friday.
The ministry added that the wounded were hurried to hospitals.
A security source quoted by the official Middle East News Agency (MENA) said that the bus came under attack while travelling on the desert road to the St. Samuel Monastery in Minya, about 220km south of, Cairo. (end)
