ANKARA, April 30 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Embassy in Turkey hosted a photography exhibition on "Humanitarian Diplomacy" in the capital Ankara late Saturday.
In his opening speech, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Turkey Ghassan Al-Zawawi said the two-day fair aims to showcase Kuwait's humanitarian role around the world.
Speaking about Kuwait's continuous humanitarian efforts, he noted that he took part in the inauguration of the Kuwait Medical Center for Prosthesis in Istanbul and Sabah Al-Ahmad village for sheltering Syrian refugees in Kilis last week.
On his part, the exhibition's supervisor Saad Al-Farhan said Kuwait aids poor countries by executing developmental projects to boost their living standards.
He added that the event includes 46 photos showing different aspects of Kuwait's humanitarian work worldwide.
The exhibition is also held in support of Turkey's security, mainly after the assassination incident of Russian Ambassador Andrey Karlov, while inaugurating a photography fair in Ankara last December.
The event was attended by head of bilateral relations department at Turkey's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hassan Ulusoy and representatives from the embassies of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Oman and the UAE.(end) rs.ag
