Qatar Red Crescent announces death of worker in Syria

DOHA, April 29 (KUNA) -- Qatari Red Crescent (QRC) said Saturday a cameraman accompanying one of its missions in northern Syria was killed when the car he was in was hit by a military jet.
Musab Ahmad Orabi, 32, was accompanying a relief team during a visit to a medical center in Jathodiya, outside Idleb, QRC Board Chairman Dr. Mohammad Al-Maadheed said in a statement.
A military jet struck the car and Orabi was killed.
Al-Maadheed, who expressed deepest condolences for family of Orabi, called for refraining from targeting relief workers and respect of international humanitarian law during war time.
QRC Secretary General Ali Al-Hammadi said this attack was the third against a QRC team in Syria. (end) nnd.bs
