WASHINGTON, April 28 (KUNA) -- Former US president George H.W. Bush was released on Friday from a Texas hospital to be placed under observation after recovering from a mild case of pneumonia.
The 41st US president, who presided over the 1991 Gulf War that liberated Kuwait from Iraqi invasion, was admitted to Houston Methodist Hospital last Friday for treatment of a persistent cough.
Bush, 92, spent 16 days in the hospital in January, also for treatment of pneumonia. (end)
