GCC interior ministers hold 18th consultative meeting in Riyadh

RIYADH, April 27 (KUNA) -- Interior ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states held their 18th consultative meeting in Riyadh Thursday.
Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz chaired the meeting which was also attended by Kuwait Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah.
In his speech, the Saudi Crown Prince welcomed the GCC interior ministers, conveying to them greetings of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and his wishes for all success of their meeting.
He stressed importance of enhancing security of the GCC states and peoples in addressing all security challenges surrounding the GCC security.
During the meeting, the GCC ministers discussed ways of enhancing security cooperation and coordination.
The GCC interior ministers stressed importance of concerted efforts and coordination of stances to strengthen the GCC common security upon directives of the GCC leaders. (end) mdm.ibi
