Kuwaiti medical team provides aid to Somalians

HARGEISA, Somalia, April 27 (KUNA) -- A Kuwaiti medical team, in collaboration with Kuwait's International Mercy Society, distributed humanitarian and food aid to a northern town in Somalia.
The Shifaa (healing) medical team on Thursday doled out about two tons of rice, floor and oil to needy families.
Team's doctors investigated all cases and paid for the costs of treating them.
Different humanitarian cases in Somalia need intensifying governmental and non-governmental efforts to protect children from diseases, Falah Al-Ajmi, a team member, said. The team stressed its determination to distribute humanitarian relief aid Friday (tomorrow) in other Somalian towns suffering from shortage of food and medicine, he noted. (end) nma.hm
