15 strikes in Syria, 14 in Iraq target IS -- coalition

WASHINGTON, April 27 (KUNA) -- Coalition military forces on Wednesday conducted 29 strikes consisting of 56 engagements against the so-called Islamic State in Syria and Iraq, the Combined Joint Task Force announced on Thursday. In Syria, coalition forces conducted 15 strikes consisting of 17 engagements near Abu Kamal, Dayr Az Zawr, Raqqah and Tabqah, the announcement said. Additionally, three strikes were completed in Syria on Tuesday near Dayr Az Zawr and Tabqah, it said. In Iraq, the forces conducted 14 strikes consisting of 39 near Al Huwayjah, Mosul, Rawah, Sinjar and Tal Afar, the statement said. (end) rm.rk
