1991 -- AlآSafat Mail Office reopened after liberation from Iraqi invasion, starts receiving customers.
2004 -- Minister of Trade and Industry Abdullah AlآTaweel opened Courtyard Marriot Hotel in AlآRaya complex in downtown, first of its kind in the Middle East.
2010 -- Germany President Horst Kohler Kuwait awarded His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah AlآAhmad AlJaber AlآSabah a Federal Order of Merit, in appreciation for his role in expanding cooperation and for boosting bilateral relations, and in turn His Highness the Amir awarded the German leader Mubarak AlآKabeer Medal.
2010 -- Kuwait National Team for Disabled won Kuwait First Athletic Games championship for the Disabled.
2011 -- Ministry of Education and Sabah AlآAhmad Center for Talent and Creativity signed Memo of Understanding to bolster discovery of Kuwaiti creative students in preliminary schools. (end)
