Trump’s approval rating hits historic low

WASHINGTON, April 24 (KUNA) -- The approval rating of US President Donald Trump hit a historic low of 42 percent on Monday, according to data from a Washington Post-ABC News poll.
42 percent of Americans' approve of Trump while 53 disapprove. Previous presidential ratings of the first 100 days in office average 69 percent approval and 19 percent disapproval, the data indicated.
Trump has the lowest approval rating at this point of any president in the polls since 1945. Yet 96 percent of those who voted for him in November say they would do so again today.
"Majorities say Trump lacks the judgment and the temperament it takes to serve effectively. Six in 10 doubt his honesty and trustworthiness," Fifty-six percent say heآ’s accomplished little or nothing in his first 100 days. And 55 percent say he doesnآ’t follow a consistent set of principles in setting policy," the data indicated.
The poll was conducted April 17-20 by landline and cell phone among a random sample of 1,004 adults. (end) ak.mt
