Army Chief meets US Presidential Envoy

KUWAIT, April 24 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Chief of General Staff of the Army Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Khader met on Monday visiting US Special Presidential Envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter the so-called Islamic State (IS), Brett McGurk.
During the meeting, they discussed several issues of mutual concern, mainly military aspects, and fighting the IS, the Defense Ministry's Moral Guidance and Public Relations said in a statement.
The meeting was attended by US ambassador to Kuwait Lawrence Silverman, Kuwait's Deputy Army Chief of Staff for Operations and Plans Maj. Gen. Ahmad Abdulwahab Al-Omairi and Kuwait's Intelligence Chief Brigadier General Fahad Al-Turaiji.
Meanwhile, General Al-Khadar also met with a visiting Bangladeshi medical delegation, where they discussed bilateral cooperation, mostly in the military and medical fields. (end) oys.mys
