BAGHDAD, April 17 (KUNA) -- Two pilot crewmembers were injured after their military plane, type 95Lasta, has crashed during training in the southern part of the country on Monday.
A source told KUNA that the plane crashed after engine failure and during a military drill at the Imam Ali Air base in Thi Qarr province in the south.
The source noted that the two injured pilots were transferred to nearby hospital.
The Iraqi airbase is considered one of the safest and largest airbases in Iraq. (end)
