Iraqi strike kills 14 suicide bombers near Syrian borders

BAGHDAD, April 10 (KUNA) -- An Iraqi air strike on Monday killed 14 suicide bombers in the town of Al-Qaim in the Iraqi province of Anbar, which borders the Syrian border.
A statement by the military media of the joint operations command said that the 14 would-be suicide bombers were planning to go to areas north of the capital Baghdad to carry out terrorist attacks before the raid targeted them and killed them all.
It added that the operation also resulted in the destruction of a laboratory used for storing explosives and a headquarters of the so-called state of Baghdad and killed and destroyed the weapons and explosive belts that were inside.
The town of Al-Qaim is under the control of the so-called Islamic State (Da'ash), which is the home of families of the organization's leaders and foreigners.(end).
