Kuwait Army begins enrolling martyrs' sons, others

KUWAIT, April 1 (KUNA) -- Enrollment in the military began for sons of military personnel who had fallen as martyrs, missing and participants in Arab wars and Kuwait's liberation operation, the army chairmanship of staff declared on Saturday.
Others entitled for registration were sons of those who had served in the military for 30 years, registrees in the 1965 census and military servicemen who concluded the service ahead of August 2nd, 1990.
This initiative has been taken in response to instructions by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Sabah to honor the personnel who had defended the national soil and sacrificed for the homeland. (end) ays.rk
