His Highness the Amir: "Arab Spring" led region to deterioration, bitter suffering

DEAD SEA, Jordan, March 29 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah said that the "Arab Spring" was an "illusion" that shattered the security and stability, and halted development in some Arab countries.
The negative impact has also extended to other parts of the Arab World causing deterioration of security conditions, as well as bitter suffering of the people, His Highness the Amir told the 28th Regular Arab Summit in Jordan on Wednesday.
His Highness Sheikh Sabah called for drawing lessons and redirecting paths to immunize the society, enhance the cohesion of domestic front and realize the legitimate expectations of our peoples.
The colossal challenges and risks facing the Arab World, prompt the adoption of a fresh method, His Highness the Amir said, calling for the Jordan summit to be a beginning of introducing a new path of action.
His Highness the Amir noted that the disagreements among the Arabs would only lead to further disunity, and weaker cohesion, and stressed the necessity of working harder to set aside these differences to achieve unity and a solid will to counter present, and future changes and challenges.
