Al-Sabeeh inaugurates 17th forum of Gulf Disabled Society

KUWAIT, March 28 (KUNA) -- Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Hind Al-Sabeeh Tuesday inaugurated the 17th forum of Gulf Disabled Society (GDS) entitled "social and psychological stability for the disabled".
In her keynote speech, Al-Sabeeh, also Minister of State for Economic Affairs, stressed necessity of concerted efforts between both the private and public sectors so as to achieve the aspired development of GCC societies.
She expressed hope that the event would lead to outstanding outcomes, indicating that the forum sheds light on key issues of the disabled regarding their puberty and adolescence, as well as social and psychological stability.
Al-Sabeeh highlighted Kuwait's experiments in caring for the disabled through providing all social, educational and psychological services, in addition to rehabilitation, to guarantee a dignified life for this category.
Kuwait was keen on approving laws organizing and protecting rights of the disabled, she pointed out, saying that the State has established the Public Authority of the Disabled with the aim of caring for their affairs. (end) mth.hm
