Arab Summit, Saudi King's visit main headlines in Jordanian media

AMMAN, March 28 (KUNA) -- The upcoming Arab Summit and the recent visit of the Saudi King to Jordan were the main headlines in Jordanian newspapers on Tuesday.
The newspapers also covered the meetings of Arab foreign ministers held yesterday, and shed light on the impact of the summit on the current situation in the region.
In this matter, in an article published by Al-Rai newspaper, journalist Fahad Al-Fank said that not only does the Arab World share joint interests and economic unity; it also faces the same threats and dangers.
In the same newspaper, columnist Nadia Al-Alol stressed on the importance of this summit to deal with the current chaotic situation, which is affecting the development of economic projects.
Meanwhile, columnist Khaled Al-Zobaidi at Ad-Dustour newspaper noted that Amman's summit is an opportunity to agree on cooperation on all levels, and a way to re-evaluate the political, economic and security situations in the region.
On his part, columnist Essa Al-Shoaibi at Al-Ghad newspaper hoped the summit would boost joint work to face such hardships in the Arab world.
As for the visit of Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz to Jordan, the newspapers shed light on the agreements signed between the two sides.
The agreements include investments worth USD 3.5 billion, which Jordanians consider a big support for their country that suffers lack of resources, mainly since 1.3 million Syrian refugees have entered the country.
