1975 -- Kuwait ratified the 1972 international treaty for banning production, use, and stockpiling of biological and toxic weapons and destruction of these deadly arms.
1978 -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah issued Amiri Decree 10/78 that authorizes Kuwait's partnership to the agreement signed in New York on June 10, 1958, regarding the United Nations Convention on Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards.
2007 -- The South Korean President decorated His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah with the State Award in appreciation for his role in boosting bilateral ties. His Highness the Amir reciprocated, decorating the Korean president with Mubarak Al-Kabeer Medal.
2013 -- Dasman Diabetes Institute was granted an international accreditation certificate from Canada.
2014 -- The 25th Arab Summit concluded with "Kuwait Declaraion" under the title, "bolstering Arab solidarity toward comprehensive Arab development." The Kuwait Declaration affirmed that Arab solidarity is the best means for strengthening the Arab nation security and realising Arab peoples' aspirations toward comprehensive development.
2014 -- Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) inked two loan agreements, worth KD 14.3 million (USD 51 million), with Argentina to finance a water project in this country.
2014 -- The Yemeni Government and Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) signed an accord, worth KD 14.3 million (USD 51 million), for funding renovation of the power network in Aden.
2014 -- Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) worked out an accord for scientific cooperation with Finland's Scientific Research Center (VTT), one of the major centers specialized in technological applications in North Europe.
2014 -- The State of Kuwait won eight media prizes as part of the GCC television and radio festival hosted by Bahrain.
2015 -- KFAED inked a loan accord with the Cuban external bank, worth KD 7.5 million, to contribute to funding a renovation project of the water network in the Cuban capital, Havana. (end).
