Turkish military kills three PKK operatives N. Iraq

ANKARA, March 24 (KUNA) -- Three operatives from the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) were killed during Turkish army operations in the area of Zap northern Iraq, Turkish army said Friday.
According to army command, air raids on the area also resulted in destroying shelters and ammunition belonging to the outlawed party.
Two more PKK members were killed in combat with army in Mardin, southeastern Turkey.
The Turkish army and the PKK have been engaging in battles southeast of the country and northern Iraq since the militia withdrew from peace talks with Ankara in 2015. (end) rs.hb
