KUWAIT, March 24 (KUNA) -- The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Al-Salam International Hospital Dr. Ayman Al-Mutawa has denied rumors about a fire outbreak inside the hospital's facilities.
Actually, it was a minor fire that broke out in the ground floor of one of the hospital's neighboring buildings, used as a nurses' residence, in Bneid Al-Qar area of Kuwait City, Al-Mutawa affirmed in press statement Friday.
Al-Salam hospital has taken all necessary measures to evacuate 120 nurses and transport them to nearby hotels to ensure their safety, he said, affirming that no wounds or injuries were sustained among the nurses.
Al-Salam hospital is equipped with the latest firefighting tools and methods to secure the safety of patients and visitors, Al-Mutawa noted, commending fire fighters' quick response and control of the fire within a short time. (end)
