KFAED chief vows nonstop backing to Lebanon's development

BEIRUT, March 24 (KUNA) -- Director General of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) Abdulwahab A. Al-Bader on Friday vowed to pursue support to development projects in Lebanon.
Speaking to KUNA following a meeting with Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Al-Hariri, Al-Bader said he had discussed with Al-Hariri KFAED-funded development projects, primarily a sewage project in south Lebanon.
KFAED is also set to sign an agreement with the Lebanese government over a water and irrigation project in north Lebanon, he added.
He reiterated KFAED's interest in aiding projects that could bring development and welfare to Lebanon.
The KFAED chief also met with Lebanese Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Ghassan Hasbani and discussed with him health projects bankrolled by KFAED in Lebanon.
During the meeting, they also addressed KFAED's USD 86 million's worth of aid to Syrian refugees, USD 18.3 million of which goes to the country's health sector, he said to KUNA following the meeting. (end) ayb.wsm.mt
