Coalition launches 17 strikes in Syria, Iraq

WASHINGTON, March 23 (KUNA) -- The US-led coalition against the so-called Islamic State (IS) launched 17 strikes consisting of a total of 76 engagements in Syria and Iraq Wednesday, the Combined Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR) said in its daily report.
In Syria, eight strikes hit IS targets in Ar Raqqah, the report showed.
In Iraq, nine strikes hit IS targets near the following areas: Al Qaim, Kisik, Mosul, Rawah, and Tal Afar, the report said. (end) ys.rk
