Kuwait, Sweden eager to boost ties - Speaker Al-Ghanim

KUWAIT, March 23 (KUNA) -- National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim said Thursday that his talks with Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf and senior officials in Stockholm focused on strengthening relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, Al-Ghanim conveyed greetings from His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to the Swedish King who on his part expressed alike sentiments to the Kuwaiti leader.
On his talks with the Speaker of the Swedish parliament, Urban Ahlin, Al-Ghanim confirmed the speaker's support to all Arab major issues.
The meeting also discussed the upcoming International Parliamentary Union (IPU) Conference, which will be held in Bangladesh on April first.
The meeting also tackled expanding the economic exchange between the two countries, and raising Kuwait's investments in Sweden. (pickup previous) fn.ss
