23 strikes in Syria, 6 in Iraq target IS -- coalition

WASHINGTON, March 22 (KUNA) -- Coalition military forces conducted 29 strikes consisting of 60 engagements against the so-called Islamic State in Syria and Iraq, the Combined Joint Task Force announced on Wednesday. In Syria, coalition forces conducted 23 strikes consisting of 25 engagements near Abu Kamal, Al Shadaddi, Ar Raqqah and Dayr Az Zawr, the announcement said.
In Iraq, the forces conducted six strikes consisting of 35 engagements near Bayji, Mosul and Tal Afar, the statement said. (end) rm.rk
