Ministry of Youth announces winners of Kuwait Excellence, Creativity Award

KUWAIT, March 13 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Minister of Commerce and Industry and Acting Minister of State for Youth Khaled Al-Roudhan announced Monday the winners of Kuwait Award for Excellence and Creativity, commemorating Kuwait Youth Day.
Al-Roudhan, in a statement announcing the winners, said the award was an opportunity to highlight creativities of the youth. He said the award ceremony would be held at a later date.
He said the winners were Abdulaziz Al-Shatti, sport, Abdullah Al-Khezam, business advancement, Ali Al-Hussaini, culture and art and literature, Intisar Al-Ajmi, education, Al-Jazi Al-Ajmi, science and technology, Mutlaq Al-Jasser, Islamic science, Ghazi Al-Mushaieely, volunteering, and Ali Behbehani, Media.
Al-Roudhan said no awards were given in categories of health and housing, because no candidate met the criteria.
Sheikha Al-Zain Al-Sabah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth, said in another statement 262 youths competed in the award the winners were selected by specialized judging panels.
She expressed gratitude for the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah of the award.
Sheikha Al-Zain said the State was keen on the development of skills of the youth so they contributed to social and economic development. (end) akw.bs
