Coalition targets IS with 14 strikes in Syria, 8 in Iraq

WASHINGTON, March 9 (KUNA) - The US-led coalition on Wednesday conducted 22 strikes consisting of 82 engagements against the so-called Islamic State (IS) in Syria and Iraq, the Combined Joint Task Force announced on Thursday. In Syria, coalition forces conducted 14 strikes consisting of 21 engagements near Ar Raqqah and Dayr Az Zawr, it said.
In Iraq, the forces conducted eight strikes consisting of 61 engagements in Mosul, near Rawah and in Tal Afar, the statement said. (end) rm.msa
