IAEA evaluates Iran's commitment to the nuclear deal

VIENNA, March 6 (KUNA) -- The Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) are due to hold their meeting on Monday to discuss Iran's nuclear issue, namely Iran's commitment to agreement signed with the six power countries in 2015.
IAEA Board of Governors consisting of 35 countries will tackle a report prepared by the Director General of IAEA Amano, regarding the latest developments on the verification and monitoring procedures conducted by IAEA inside Iran according to United Nations Security Council (UNSC) number 2231 back in 2015.
Amano stressed last February on Iran's fulfillment of its obligations concerning its nuclear file and that "it did not enrich uranium within risky levels and did not store illegal servers of depleted uranium", under fears that US is trying to change the rules of the agreement concerning.
Amano indicated that there is a number of violations committed by Tehran in exceeding the permitted levels of its reserves of heavy water.
Iran agreed according to the signed agreement on decreasing its nuclear activities in return of easing a number of the economic sanctions imposed by the UN and European Union (EU).
Meanwhile, the new US administration is also reviewing IAEA complaints to strengthening its observations of Iran's commitment, including the entrance of military bases, media outlets reported.
Washington still do need the support of 34 member countries of IAEA Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Iran along with the five permanent members in UNSC as well as Germany signed an agreement in July 14 regarding the Iranian nuclear file, which was describes as "historical" at the time.
US President Doland Trump strongly criticized the agreement, supporting in the meantime Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu point of view that this agreement is "a danger to the world." IAEA four-day meeting will also discuss other issues regarding boosting IAEA activities, including nuclear safety, radiation safety, transportation safety, and waste safety, as well as applying guarantees in norther Korea, as well as applying safeguards Agreement according to Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons in Syria.
