Saudi assures Iraq of support in fight against terrorism

BAGHDAD, Feb 26 (KUNA) -- Saudi Arabia firmly backs up Iraq in its fight against terrorism, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir said on Saturday, congratulating the Iraqi army for attaining "victory." In a meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi, the Saudi Foreign Minister congratulated the Iraqi military on its victory over terrorist groups and assured that the Kingdom backs up Baghdad in the battle against terrorism, a statement by the Iraqi government noted. Moreover, talks centered on strategies to ameliorate ties between both nations and support ongoing efforts to liberate the western part of the war-torn city of Mosul, the statement added.
