RABAT, Feb 24 (KUNA) -- President of Islamic Development Bank (IDB) group Bandar Al-Hajjar has stressed that financing provided by the bank, since its establishment in 1974, to Morocco has amounted to USD 7.6 billion.
The bank is carrying out a number of projects worth USD 1.2 billion, he said in remarks to reporters on the sidelines of participation in a global forum currently held in Rabat.
The bank will continue backing Morocco's development projects, mainly the ones which provide jobs and improve people's standard of living, he added, stressing that the two sides have strategic ties.
He lauded policies of Morocco mainly in the areas of renewable energy, indicating that there is bilateral cooperation to transfer Moroccan experiment in this field to Sub-Saharan Africa. (end) mry.hm
