IAEA still verifying no undeclared nuclear materials used in Iran - report

VIENNA, Feb 24 (KUNA) -- The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said its inspectors were verifying there were no undeclared nuclear materials in Iran's nuclear facilities.
IAEA's "evaluations regarding absence of undeclared nuclear material and activities for Iran remained ongoing," the agency's Director General said in a classified report and distributed to member states on Friday. KUNA obtained a copy of the report.
IAEA has been verifying and monitoring Iran's implementation of its nuclear-related commitments listed in the nuclear agreement that Tehran signed with the P5+1 group in summer of 2015, said the report.
The parties of the agreement began implementation on January 16, 2016.
The report said Iran was enriching uranium but not more than 3.67 percent, nor did not exceed the agreed number of centrifuges.
Iran, it added, gave IAEA inspectors full access to nuclear-related sites.
IAEA continues to verify non-diversion of declared nuclear material at the nuclear facilities and locations outside facilities where nuclear material is customarily used, it noted.
The nuclear agency is yet to declare that Iran fully abided by its obligations regarding IAEA.
The nuclear agreement had downgraded Iran's nuclear capabilities in return of easing of international economic sanctions. (end) amg.bs
