Coalition launches 32 strikes in Syria, Iraq

WASHINGTON, Feb 22 (KUNA) -- The US-led coalition against the so-called Islamic State (IS) launched 32 strikes in Syria and Iraq "consisting of 93 engagements", the Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR) said in its daily report.
In Syria, 23 strikes "consisting of 36 engagements" hit IS targets near Ar Raqqah, Dayr Az Zawr, and Palmyra, the report showed.
In Iraq, nine strikes "consisting of 37 engagements" hit IS targets near Baghdad, Mosul, Rawah, and Tal Afar, the report said. (end) ak.mt
