Thailand beats Kuwait in tennis event

KUWAIT, Feb 4 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's national tennis team was defeated 0-3 on Saturday by Thai's national tennis team in the regional Davis Cup competition 2017 that kicked off on Friday.
The Kuwaiti team was defeated in the second round of the double competition, where they were tied 1-1 in the first round on Friday.
The team manager Faleh Al-Oteibi told KUNA that Kuwait's team is willing to make a positive game when they compete tomorrow in the third round to keep their chances in the tournament.
The Davis Cup is the premier international team event in men's tennis and it's managed by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and is contested annually between teams from competing countries in a knock-out format and it's described as the "World Cup of Tennis" in which the winners are referred to as the World Champion team.
