KUWAIT, Jan 31 (KUNA) -- Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah said Tuesday in spite of his remarks on the grilling lodged against him, he preferred to appear in parliament in order to clarify relevant facts.
Rebuffing the aspects of the grilling, the minister said: "Today, it's my fate to shoulder responsibility for ending a designedly planned problem that has bugged all of us for long years, and also for healing wounds caused by some to the body of the sports movement." The minister vowed that he, along with sincere people, would not give up efforts to put an end to this problem, in reference to the international ban on Kuwait's sports activities.
He urged everybody to help in resisting those who are seeking to tarnish the reputation of Kuwait and its people at international fora.
He also emphasized that the government is ready to work with the National Assembly to put an end to this problem and to ensure a better future for the Kuwaiti sports movement.
However, the minister lashed out at the aspects of the grilling as being "unclear" and that's why he suffered enough to understand the significance and goals of the motion itself. (end) jy.fn.mt
