KUNA chief receives Algerian, Egyptian envoys

KUWAIT, Jan 24 (KUNA) -- Director General and Chairman of KUNA Sheikh Mubarak Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah received on Tuesday the Algerian Ambassador to Kuwait Abdulhamid Abdawi, as talks centered on increased cooperation in the media sector.
The Algerian diplomat said that he was content with the development of ties between his country and Kuwait, noting a mutual desire for progress in relations.
Moreover, the KUNA Chairman also received Egypt's Ambassador to Kuwait Yasser Atif, as the Egyptian diplomat commended KUNA's efforts to bolster relations with Egypt.
"KUNA is eager to further enhance Arab collaboration in the media sector," Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij said, adding that KUNA has established agreements with numerous Egyptian media institutions.
Both meetings were attended by Deputy Director General of KUNA's Editorial Department and Editor in Chief Saad Al-Ali. (end) fa.nam
