TUNIS, Jan 19 (KUNA) -- The State of Kuwait Ambassador to Tunisia Ali Al-Dhafiri on Thursday discussed with Tunisian Minister of Development, Investment and International Cooperation Mohammad Fadhel Abdelkefi means of expanding scopes of mutual cooperation; through funding joint enterprises in the country.
Ambassador Al-Dhafiri, in a statement to KUNA, said the discussions also dealt with various other economic and business issues, namely a previous Kuwaiti pledge to offer loans valued at USD 500 million.
The talks also dealt with preparations for a visit by a delegation of Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development to Tunisia, due in February, to examine ventures that might be funded by the State of Kuwait.
Kuwait, during Tunisia 2020 business conference, held last November, pledged USD 500 million to back Tunisian development schemes. (end) kj.rk
