OIC extraordinary session on Rohingya kicks off In Kuala Lumpur

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 19 (KUNA) -- An extraordinary meeting for the Organization of Islamic Cooperation's (OIC) Foreign Ministers council kicked off on Thursday with the participation of Kuwait's Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah.
The situation of the Muslim Rohingya in Myanmar and means to defense this minority will be the core issue of discussion during the meeting.
The two-hour closed-door meeting, attended by senior officials from member states of OIC and among others, aims to discuss the draft resolution and the communique that will be delivered at the end of the Foreign Ministers' session this evening. (end) aab.tg
