KUWAIT, Jan 15 (KUNA) -- KUNA Board Chairman and Director-General Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah Sunday met with Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of Sheikh Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah Journalism Excellence Award Ayman Al-Ali and young winners.
During the meeting, which was attended by KUNA Deputy Director-General for Administrative, Financial and Communication Sector Abdulhameed Malak, Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij reiterated continuing support to Kuwaiti youth in the press domain, urging them to boost their skills and capabilities in a scientific and considered manner.
He said young journalists' win of the press competition reflected KUNA's care for its staff, given that the contest now attracts many journalists.
He highly commended the contest and its message of encouraging distinguished generations to shoulder responsibility for maintaining Kuwait's pioneering media.
On his part, Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of Sheikh Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah Journalism Excellence Award Ayman Al-Ali appreciated Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij's backing to Kuwaiti young journalists as an incentive for more dedication and production.
He noted that the organizing committee takes care of young editors by means of providing them with training courses inside and outside Kuwait, in cooperation with leading world media organizations.
This, he went on saying, marks a genuine translation of the patron of the competition, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah's care and support for Kuwaiti journalists. (end) zak.tb.mt
