First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah receives President of International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Peter Maurer
KUWAIT, Jan 11 (KUNA) -- First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah received visiting President of International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Peter Maurer at Bayan Palace, on Wednesday.
Maurer lauded Kuwait's pioneering role in extending a helping hand to those who needs it across the globe.
On his part, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled praised ICRC's humanitarian efforts, especially those which focus on finding Kuwaiti missing persons and POWs in Iraq since 1991.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Foreign Minister at the Foreign Minister's Office Affairs Ambassador Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah, Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organizations Affairs minister commissioner Nasser Abdullah Al-Hain and other senior officials.
