KUWAIT, Jan 7 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti physician Ahmad Al-Mhawesh has devised a program for maximal immunity against heart disease, which has been approved by global heart foundations.
Speaking to KUNA on Saturday, Al-Mhawesh, who is a researcher at the British Heart Foundation and a specialist in prevention of heart disease, said that only a quarter of immunity programs meets guidelines provided by global heart foundations.
Moreover, he noted that he has been feted in a conference of the British Heart Foundation for his groundbreaking work to develop pioneering research on heart science.
On his research, which was overseen by some of the world's leading cardiologists, he said that it aimed to uncover whether heart immunity programs in Britain are on par with international standards.
The Kuwaiti physician also added that 90 percent of heart disease symptoms can be averted by preventing risk factors including smoking and a sedentary disposition.
He also spoke of his firmness to provide immunity programs backed by scientific facts, which in turn, will be instrumental in establishing a 25 percent decline in the rates of premature deaths. (end) ntk.nam
