KUWAIT, Dec 31 (KUNA) -- Kuwait on Saturday strongly condemned the twin terrorist bombings that hit a market in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, killing and injuring scores of people.
Kuwait "strongly condemns the two terrorist explosions against a market in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, killing and wounding scores of people," a foreign ministry source said in a statement to KUNA.
The source reaffirmed Kuwait's support to Iraq's efforts to fighting terrorism.
He expressed condolences for the Iraqi government and people, and wished speedy recovery for the injured.
At least 20 people have been killed in two explosions that hit a shopping area in central Baghdad.
Two suicide attackers blew themselves up in the crowded market, killing 20 Iraqis at least, and wounding about 40 others. (end) bs
