MUSCAT, Dec 26 (KUNA) -- The Arab-European Center of Human Rights and International Law has conferred its "Arab Man of the Year" award on Sultan Qaboos bin Saeed of Oman, in appreciation of his efforts to protect and support human rights.
According to Oman News Agency (ONA), Secretary General of the Arab-European Center of Human Rights and International Law Aihan Jaf presented the award to representative of Sultan Qaboos, Assad bin Tariq Al-Saeed.
Founded in 2006 by a bevy of human rights specialists, the Arab-European Center of Human Rights and International Law is an independent, non-governmental and non-profitable center.
The center aims to ensure commitment to the protection of human rights in the Middle East and Arab world. (end) maj.nam
