1901 -- A Russian gunboat arrived in Kuwait.
1938 -- The Amir Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah ordered the dissolution of the Legislative Council after the completion of its task of drafting the constituent law, the council's statute, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry election law and the citizenship law.
1958 -- Ahmad bin Ali Al-Khalaf, a well-known public figure in Failaka Island, passed away at the age of 52.
2003 -- Kuwait hosted the 24th meeting of the GCC Higher Council.
2004 -- Kuwait's Hayef Al-Ajmi was unanimously elected assistant secretary general of the Arab Labor Union.
