GCC, UK oppose to Iran's efforts to destabilize Gulf

MANAMA, Dec 7 (KUNA) -- Leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and British Prime Minister Theresa May, at their summit talks here on Wednesday, expressed opposition to Iran's efforts to destabilize the Gulf region and vowed to act jointly against such actions by Tehran.
Iran must cooperate with the regional states on basis of good neighborliness' principles, non-intervention in the others' internal affairs and respecting other countries' sovereignty and territorial sanctity, said a GCC-UK official statement.
Tehran should also take steps to build confidence with the regional countries and seek to resolve disputes with its neighbors peacefully, the two sides stressed. (end) mga.rk
