GCC summit will enhance regional security -- Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled

MANAMA, Dec 7 (KUNA) -- The State of Kuwait Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah said on Wednesday that outcome of the 37th GCC Summit would enhance the GCC joint security.
Participation of the UK Prime Minister Theresa May in the summit boosted its significance, said Sheikh Sabah Khaled in a statement to KUNA following conclusion of the summit.
The United Kingdom is a historic partner with the GCC states, he said, noting London's commitment to safeguarding the regional security and its keenness on cooperation with the GCC countries at the security, military, financial, business and cultural levels.
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's address to the summit "outlined tracks for the common Gulf cooperation regarding regional and international affairs," the minister added.
The summit results serve the joint march of the regional states, he stated further. (end) mga.rk
