Kuwait commends exceptional opening of world bowling championship in Doha

DOHA, Dec 3 (KUNA) -- Chairman of the Asian and International Bowling Federations Sheikh Talal Mohammad Al-Sabah Saturday commended what he described as "exceptional opening" of the 2nd World Bowling Singles Championship.
Sheikh Talal, in a statement to KUNA following opening ceremony, hoped the championship would feature high-level competitions among the world's best bowlers.
More than 136 top bowlers from 49 countries are competing in the championship, held at Qatar Bowling Centre in Doha.
Sheikh Talal, of Kuwait, hoped the Gulf bowlers gave a good performance and reach the podium.
Chairman of the Qatari and Arab Bowling federations Abdusalam Abbas, in his speech at the opening ceremony, said the organizing committee allocated daily awards as an incentive for the players. (end) nnd.bs
