Iran reiterates commitment to nuclear deal

TEHRAN, Dec 3 (KUNA) -- Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said on Saturday his country abides by the nuclear agreement reached by Iran and Group 5+1.
Rouhani made the remark in a meeting with visiting Special Envoy of Russian President on Syria Alexander Lavrentiev, according to local press.
He said Iran has always been committed to its international promises and the G5+1 member states are also expected to honor their commitments under JCPOA.
He added that terrorism poses a big threat to the region and the entire world, calling for collective cooperation between Iran and Russia to help restore international peace and security.
On his part, the Russian official said Russian stance about Iran's nuclear deal is stable and there is no reason to put it in jeopardy.
Lavrentiev said that President Putin attaches special significance to the existing confidence between Iran and Russia.
The Russian envoy arrived in Tehran earlier in the day on an official visit for talks with senior Iranian officials on bilateral relations, and regional and international issues. (end) mw.mt
