VAN (Turkey) -- A Kuwaiti town, named after a title given to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, provided shelter to thousands of Turkish citizens who suffered from the Van earthquake which hit the city in 2011. (By Reda Sardar issued at 09:13 a.m. local-time 06:13 GMT).

PARIS -- Kuwait was given widespread praise and commendation Friday for its commitment to helping the disabled on occasion of the awarding of late Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah prize for "Digital Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities". NOUAKCHOTT -- The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) made it its mission to help countries around the globe to seek roads of development and progression. In Mauritania, KFAED helped to provide a loan, worth KD 11 million, in 2011 to aid the construction of a water network which will cover Nouakchott city's needs till 2030.
