Health official reiterates coordination with GCC to for low-price drugs

KUWAIT, Dec 2 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Health has stressed keenness on continuous coordination with the other GCC member states to provide effective and low-cost medications through unifying drug registration.
Assistant Undersecretary for Legal Affairs at the Ministry of Health, Mahmoud Abdul-Hadi added in a statement that they are hosting on Sunday the 79th meeting of the Gulf Central Committee for Drug Registration (GCC-DR).
The three-day meeting aims to enhance coordination among the GCC countries in international drug registration, he said.
Abdul-Hadi noted that the GCC-DR had updated the registration regulations to cope with the recent relevant developments on the international scene. He said that the GCC-DR main mission includes unifying the drug registration systems and procedures, in addition to consolidating the pan-GCC coordination in the field. (end) ndq.abd.msa
