CAIRO, Nov 22 (KUNA) -- Abdulaziz Al-Babtain, President of Board of Trustees of Abdulaziz Al-Babtain Cultural Foundation, said Tuesday late Egyptian poet Farouq Shusha left a "great treasure of literature" that enriched Arab libraries.
Al-Babtain was speaking in a function to eulogize the late Shusha, held in collaboration with the Cairo University.
"This is one of the saddest and painful moment that I stand before you and talk about my friend and brother Farouq Shusha, member of the board of trustees of Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain Cultural Foundation for more than 20 years," he said.
He said Shusha, who joined the board of trustees in 1994 until his death, commended the contributions of the deceased to the Arab culture and literature.
"Shusha had wise opinions ... which we respect and implement, and will always remember him in this foundation ...," he said.
Al-Babtain said Shusha had many publications and won awards during his life. (end) ms.bs
