MANAMA, Nov 2 (KUNA) -- The Parliamentary Coordination and External Relations Committee of the Shura, Representatives, National and Ummah Councils of the Gulf Cooperation Council States discussed the controversial US Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act (JASTA), and its implications on the international situation.
The conferees have proposed a number of recommendations and referred them to speakers of GCC legislatures to expose the dangers of the law and how to deal with the international situation, Secretary General of Kuwait's National Assembly Allam Al-Kandari told KUNA following the meeting, held in Manama Wednesday.
He added that the law "does not concern a certain country, but rather all countries", and the "Gulf states are concerned about the dangers of such a law." Al-Kandari noted that the GCC legislatures chiefs would thoroughly deliberate such recommendations in their coming meeting, scheduled November 23-24. (end) mga.ibi
